It is very difficult for humans to conserve the Benthic Zone because it is so out of physical reach by the average Joe.
Restoration Ecology: Is the practice of renewing and restoring degraded, damaged, or destroyed ecosystems and habitats in the environment.
Examples of this that pertain to the Benthic Zone are trash clean ups that they have on big lakes and oceans.
Wildlife refugees, protected areas, sanctuaries, parks and nature reserves:
Unfortunately you will not find any of these in the Benthic Zone because of its ecological location.
